To Find : What is his z statistic

Solution:

Mean =  35

Variance = 25

SD = √variance =  √25 = 5

reached level 124 after 38 attempts and it took him two

more to reach the next.

Hence 38 + 2 = 40 attempts to reach level 125  

Z score =  ( value - mean )/ SD

= ( 40 - 35)/5

= 5/5

= 1

Hence his z score  is  1
