height = 4
radius= 3
slant height =√16+9
=√25
=5
curved surface area = πrl
= 22÷7×3×5
=47.14 ( approx)
sheet available for making cap = 1000cm sq
number of caps = 1000÷47.14
= 21.21 ( approx )

Answer:

21

Step-by-step explanation:

Radius of cap = 3 cm

Height of cap = 4 cm

Slant height = l=\sqrt{Height^2+Radius^2}

                    =\sqrt{4^2+3^2}

                    =\sqrt{16+9}

                    =\sqrt{25}

                    =5

Lateral surface area of cone = \pi r l

                                               = 3.14 \times 3 \times 5

                                               = 47.1 m^2

So, area of 1 cap is 47.1 sq.m.

Now Area of sheet = 1000 sq.m.

So, No. of caps can be made from that sheet = \frac{1000}{47.1}

                                                                           = 21.231

Thus 21 caps can be manufactured from that paper sheet.
