Self-inflating Balloon
you will need
One dean plastic bottle (without cap)
Balloon (preferably thin)
Elastic band
Measuring jug
- Yeast
- Sugar
Water
• Teaspoon
What to Do
1. Put 2 teaspoons of yeast, 1 teaspoon of sugar and a cup of water into the
bottle
2. Fit the balloon at the mouth of the bottle and secure with the elastic band
as shown in the image.
3. Keep the bottle aside for some time.
What do you notice? After a while, the balloon starts to inflate

this is just because of the reaction
yeast reacts with water and sugar and produces off CO2 which fill up the balloon and it inflates
