When you learn to rely on yourself and become independent, your self esteem goes up and you get more confident. The more you depend on others, the less confident you will be. When you learn to be independent, you can reach your full potential and live your dreams.

Hey Arpan!
Self Actualization is a big word. It represents a reality rarely humans achieve or try to achieve.
There is little consensus in the scientific community as to what it Really means except Maslow and Rogers.
The peak of one's potential where everything what one is supposed to have done ,is Done beyond the social norms.
I don't remember the research but there seems to be high correlation between self reliance and self Actualization.
This is because:
1. SELF MOTIVATION is the key to SUCCESS
2. EXPERTISE , another solid factor for success esp S.actualization, need Faith on one's abilities, confidence.
3. SELF Confidence is another factor people think they have enough of. That is an ingredient of self-reliance
Hope it helps!
