QUESTION ---- selling a watch for 720,ravi loses 10%. at what price should he sell it in order to gain 15%

ANSWER ----

SP = ₹ 720
LOSS % = 10 %

CP = 100 / (100 - L%) × SP

CP = 100 / (100 - 10) × 720

CP = 100 / 90 × 720

CP = 100 × 8

CP = ₹ 800

================================

CP = ₹800
DESIRED GAIN % = 15%

SP = (100+P%) / 100 × 800

SP = (100+15) / 100 × 800

SP = 115 × 8

SP = ₹920

Sp=720
Loss=10% of 720
=72
Cp=sp+loss
=720+72
=792
Now.
Profit=15%of792
=15/100×792=118.8

The price he should sell the product in order to gain 15%=
Cp+profit of 15%
=792+118.8
=910.8

So he should sell the product in Rupees 910.8 thank you best regards from me
