Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Sameera purchased 1\frac{1}{5} kg apples , 3\frac{1}{2} kg oranges and 2\frac{3}{7} kg grapes.

To Find: What is the total weight of fruits purchased by her ?

Solution:

          Sameera purchased apples    = 1\frac{1}{5} kg

                                                            = \frac{6}{5} kg

          Sameera purchased oranges = 3\frac{1}{2} kg

                                                            = \frac{7}{2} kg

          Sameera purchased grapes   =  2\frac{3}{7} kg

                                                           = \frac{17}{7} kg

Total Weight:    =   \frac{6}{5} + \frac{7}{2} + \frac{17}{7}

                          =  LCM of 5,2,7 = 70

                          = \frac{84 + 245 + 170}{70}

                          =  \frac{499}{70}
