Answer ⇒ E = 32.07 N/C.

Explanation ⇒ In case of semicircular ring, Electric field at the centre of ring is given by the formula,

E = 2kλ/R or 2kq/πR²

Given,

q = 1.4 × 10⁻⁹ C, R = 0.5 m.

∴ E = 2 × 9 × 10⁹ × 1.4 × 10⁻⁹/πR²

∴ E = 18 × 1.4/πR²

∴ E = 18 × 1.4/(3.14 × 0.5²)

∴ E = 25.2/0.786

∴ E = 32.07 N/C.

Hence, the electric filed at the centre of ring from which semicircular ring is same is 32.07 N/C.

Hope it helps.
