Changing food habits and health
Our food habits should be healthy and should include all the nutrients in the right amount. Healthy food is necessary for physical and mental health. But today in this fast moving busy world food habits had changed a lot. Now people are being fast food and junk food instead of home made healthy food. This changing food habits caused mental and physical health issues.
Roughage
: Fiber, also known as roughage, is the part of plant-based foods (grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and beans) that the body can't break down.
: it passes through the body undigested, keeping your digestive system clean and healthy, easing bowel movements, and flushing cholesterol and harmful carcinogens out of the body.
: Two variety: soluble & insoluble
-- soluble fiber
: Dissolves in water and helps control blood sugar levels and reduce cholesterol.
Eg: barley, oatmeal, beans, nuts, and fruits such as apples, berries, citrus fruits etc.

: Does not dissolve in water. It is the bulky fiber that helps to prevent constipation.
