Hey!!! : )
Heredity is the passing on of physical or mental characteristics genetically from one generation to another.
Mechanism of hereditary changes:
Inheritance involves the transfer of characters from one generation to another generation. Basic features of inheritance are elucidated.
The traits could be hidden in many generations but can reappear in any generation unchanged.
Traits which remain together may get separated in the next generation.
One form of a particular character is exhibited frequently than the other form of the same character.
Hope It Helps!!! ^_^

Heredity is passing on of genetic information from one generation to the other.
when the male germ cell spermatozoa fuses with the female ovum. The union causes fertilisation of the ovum.
The fertilised ovum consists of a semi-fluid mass called cytoplasm which contains smaller nucleus of denser materials, which contains traits of both parents called chromosomes.
Each chromosome consists of small particles called genes. genes are the real carriers of heredity.
physical traits, like the colour of the eyes, the skin, the size, the type of blood, and some organic diseases are represented by respective genes.
