Answer:

First the answer u need : 3) Falls

asuming the cork balls sink when they are dropped in lake,

Always remember any thing that sinks displaces less volume of water than if it is made to float( without changing mass)

the balls on the boat push the boat downwards so the boat displaces a certain volume of water, this volume displaced is greater than the actual volume of all the balls ( as boat is less dense than balls )

So the buoyant force keeps the boat with balls afloat coz more water is displaces

the balls thrown into lake do not float

meaning bouyant force is smaller

meaning weight and volume of displaced liquid is lesser than initial case

so if intially boat+balls displace more volume than boat and balls seperately

so initially more vol occupied

so initially lake has higher level

finally less volume occupied

so finally lake has lower level, ie. level drops or falls

Tricky question , hope this helps

(ignore this part if didnt understand it ll make u more confused)

PS ideally cork balls usually float but I know they intented in the question for them to sink, either way answer is the same just magnitude of fall is a little less

Sincearly,
