you're aware to English language, you must have heard of the term 'idiom', somewhere, for sure. An idiom is a group of words that have a meaning which is very different form the individual words.
For eg, 'when pigs fly'. Now, it's got nothing to do with pigs and their flight, we all know, pigs can't fly. But this idiom means 'never'.
Sentence usage: I'll increase your pocket money when the pigs fly. This means, the person speaking to you will never increase your pocket money. (Startled?)
