  • Given :

=> A set of 31 tuning fork is arranged decreasing order of frequency.

=> Each fork gives 5 beats per second with preceding one.

=> Frequency of first fork is double than freq. of last fork.

  • To Find :

=> Freq. of first and last fork

  • Calculation :

=> total no. of forks = 31

=> freq. of first fork = f1

=> no. of beats per second= x = 5

=> freq. of last fork = f31 = f1 - 30(x)

=> f31 = f1/2

=> f1/2 = f1 - 150

=> f1/2 = 150

=> f1 = 300 Hz

=> f2 = f1/2 = 150 Hz

 \boxed{ \boxed{ \sf{ \bold{ \orange{f(1) = 300 \: Hz \: and \: f(31) = 150 \: Hz}}}}}
