Answer:

Refracted ray makes an angle of 19°

Step-by-step explanation:

The relation between incident ray and refracted ray is known as snell's law

n_{1} sin∅_{1} = n_{2} sin ∅_{2}

where, n_{1} = refractive index of first area

           n_{2} =  refractive index of second area

         ∅_{1} , ∅_{2}  are angles ray make with normal in both area of substance

by above formula we have

           n_{1} =  refractive index of air = 1

           n_{2} =  refractive index of water = 1.33

            ∅_{1} = angle with normal in air

now ,

       1x sin(25°) = 1.33 sin(r)

       sin(r) = 0.42/1.33       (∴ Sin(25°) = 0.42 )

               = 0.3177

      r = Sin^{-}(.3177)

     r= 18.66 ≅ 19
