3. The real reason it's so difficult to write a script is ,,,,, because it's difficult to write a script. I'm serious. If it were easy they wouldn't be worth so much. Everyone would be doing it. And there would be more good movies. But it's tough. It's a lot of sitting in a chair, writing hundreds of pages that get thrown away, frustration, angst, having to dump some of your favorite sections because they're slowing things down. Going through it page by page, refining and rewriting for probably well over a year - that's how long it takes to go from "I have an idea" to completing a revised and rewritten "First Draft" that you can start showing people. Over a year. There's no getting around that part either.
