3) Straining

Filtering is used to separate Solids from a liquid using a filter paper with the intention to get a residue and a filtrate .

sieving removes the solid particles from a liquid.

Straining removes liquid from a substance so that we remain with a solid.

Sand soil from water is by filtering

Tea leaves from tea is Sieving

Paneer from liquid is Straining.
