To pass the solution through a fine sieve. The sieve would have to have a pore size that would allow the water through, but not the copper sulphate. Another possibility is by ion exchange. Like sieves (molecular sieves) that have a specific pore size, an ion exchange resin will also work by the charge of the ion, or the lack of charge.
