"The ion formed after the removal of the Hydrogen ion(H+ ion) from an acid is called the acid radical. The ion formed after the removal of Hydroxide ions OH- is called the basic radical. The examples of formula of a trivalent formula acidic radical are given as below: HCl, Cl-, HNO3, NO2."
