* The domain is the highest whereas the species is the lowest rank in the classification.

* The entire classification

Domain- Kingdom- Phylum/ Division – Class – Order – Family – Tribe –Genus – Species

* The scientific name of an organism is determined using the genus and species.

* According to the binomial nomenclature system of Linneaus,  the scientific name is written with the genus followed by the species in Italics

Example: Homo sapiens( humans).
