Answer:

What should be the sequence of solving the Five books of Cengage Maths?

I don't think so that you have to solve the books in a sequence.

Rather one should understand that one should start with very basic chapters of trigonometry and algebra (mix bag actually) then do the very basics of co-ordinate geometry.

Now you are ready to do the calculus part. Then you can go to some chapters like vector 3D.

Let me write down the exact sequence of all the chapters which most of the coaching institutes of Kota follow and which is a very good thing for any student to do.

Basic mathematics ( division of 9th and 10th class important concepts)

  1. Logarithm number system and modulus and inequalities
  2. Trigonometry (compound angle)
  3. Quadratic equation and expressions
  4. Trigonometric equations.
  5. Solution of triangles
  6. Sequence and series ( progressions)
  7. Determinants
  8. Straight line
  9. Circles
  10. Permutation and combination
  11. Binomial theorem
  12. Functions
  13. Inverse trigonometric functions
  14. Limit
  15. Continuity and differentiability
  16. Methods of differentiation
  17. Indefinite integration
  18. Definite integration
  19. Application of derivative
  20. Area under the curve
  21. Differential equation
  22. Matrices
  23. Vector 3D
  24. Complex number
  25. Probability
  26. Conic sections (parabola ellipse and hyperbola)

Topics of IIT mains

  1. Statistics
  2. Mathematical reasoning
  3. Sets and relations
  4. Heights and distance
