Given :

The cost of 2 pizza and 2 drink is $34 and the cost of 1 pizza and 3 drinks s $23.

To Find :

The cost of one Pizza and one drink.

Solution :

Let cost of one pizza = $p

and the cost of one drink = $d

Cost of 2 pizzas and 2 drinks  = $34

2p + 2d = 34

p + d = 17 ........(1)

Cost of 1 pizza and 3 drinks = $23

p + 3d = 23 ......(2)

By subtracting equation (1) from equation (2)

(p + 3d) - (p + d) = 23 - 17

2d = 6

d = $3.00

From equation (1)

p + 3 = 17

p = 17 - 3

p = $14

Cost of one pizza is $14 and the cost of one drink is $3.
