HE SAYS BECAUSE HE HAD CALLED HIM FOR WORK AND LUSHKOFF WORKS WELL.HE IS NOT RIGHT IN SAYING THIS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO LUSHKOFF.HE JUST GAVE HIM A ROUBLE OR HALF A ROUBLE.

Sergei thought that this advice will help lushkoff to stop begging and this made him stop drinking alcohol. this shows that lushkoff is in right track .A change took place in his life just because of Sergei.
