Series arrangement is not used for domestic circuits . List three reasons.

Series arrangement is not used for domestic circuits due to following reasons : 

(1) In series arrangement same current will flow through all the appliances, which is not required. 

(2) Total resistance of domestic circuit will be sum of the resistance of all appliances and hence current drawn by the circuit will be less. 

(3) We cannot use independent on/off wsitches with individual appliances

This is bcuz for eg if we use a series connection for domestic purposes then consequently if one bulb gets fused then all other appliances will also get fused therefore it is advised to connect domestic appliances in parallel so that if a bulb gets fused then other appliances still keep on working..
