Asexual reproduction produce clones i.e. the daughter cells are genetically identical to one another an therefore there is no scope for evolution. Sexual reproduction requires two haploid gametes to form one diploid offspring. There is very little mutation that give rise to smaller changes to the individual like hair colour, height an looks. Sexual reproduction is very important from the evolutionary prospective.
