In terms of hormones, Sertoli cells are regulated by the FSH gonadotropin (Follicle stimulating hormone) that is released by the Anterior pituitary otherwise known as the Adenohypophysis, in response to the GnRH (Gonadotropin releasing hormone) released by the hypothalamus.

In terms of organs or glands, Sertoli cells are directly regulated by the Anterior pituitary or Adenohypophysis while being under the indirect regulation of the hypothalamus.
