Set A has 5 elements and set B has 3 elements. Find the number of relations from set A to set B​

Since, sets A and B have 5 and 3 elements respectively. So, the set (A×B) would have 15(=5×3) elements.

Now, we know, any subset of (A×B) is a relation from set A to set B. But, cardinal no. of the set (A×B) is 15.

So, maximum no. of relations from set A to set B is = total no. of subsets of the set (A×B)

=2 power 15

=32768 (Ans)
