Answer:

ADD 4 TO EIGHT TIMES A NUMBER, YOU GET 60

Let the number be X

8x + 4 = 60

so, 8x = 60 - 4

8x = 56

x = 56/8

x = 7

ONE FIFTH OF A NUMBER MINUS 4 GIVES 3

Let the number be X

So, 1/5 × x - 4 = 3

x/5 = 3 + 4

x/5 = 7

x = 7×5

x = 35

3rd QUESTION

Let the number be X

3/4 × X + 3 = 21

3x/4 + 3 = 21

( 3x + 12) / 4 = 21

3x + 12 = 21 × 4

3x + 12 = 84

3x = 84 - 12

3x = 72

x = 24

ANSWER NO. G

Let the number be X

7 - 5x/2 = 23

( 14 - 5x ) / 2 = 23

14 - 5x = 23×2

14 - 5x = 46

- 5x = 46 - 14

- 5x = 32

x = 32/-5

ANSWER NO. F

Let the number be X

( x + 19 ) / 5 = 8

x + 19 = 8 × 5

x + 19 = 40

x = 40 - 19

x = 21
