Set up an equation of motion and write the nature of motion for a particle of 5 kg mass which is

moving along a straight line under the influence of two forces (i) attraction force FA towards

origin where FA is numerically equal to 40 times the instantaneous distance from the origin (ii) a

damping force proportional to the instantaneous speed such that when the speed is 10 m/s, the

damping force is 200 N.

Also find out the general expression for displacement as a function of time by assuming that

initially at t = 0, the displacement x = 20 m and velocity v = 0.

Further find out the amplitude, time period and frequency of damped oscillation.​
