Answer:
The Adventure of Toto
:-By Ruskin Bond
Grandfather bought Tot from a tonga driver of rupees five.It was so beautiful and preety also naughty. His bright eyes sparkled with mischief beneath deep set eyebrows and his teeth was pearly white and grandfather believed that a tail would add to looks good.Grandmother refused when Grandfather brought home animals or birds. So he decided it should be kept a secret from her until she was in good mood. But it was not a sort of pet to be kept at home because he has made alot of damage in the house. So,grandfather realised that we were not well to do and couldn't afford the frequent loss of dishes, clothes, curtains and wallpaper. So at last grandfather sold Toto only for 3 rupees
Toto's presence was kept a secret from grandmother because she did not approve of any addition to the already existing pets the grandfather had. So, Toto was kept in a closet that opened into the narrator's bedroom wall and was tied to a peg fastened into the wall.
