The author A K Ramanujan had set this story in a sense of the circle of blame.He tries to show the character of foolish people from the beginning of story .we can get an idea of the story from the very beginning,the king had changed night into day and day into night and how the foolish people followed him without questioning .then the cost of everything in that kingdom cost the same this showed how foolish the people were.In the ending of the story,the author showed the character of intelligent people that is the guru and his deciple .they saved the kingdom from ruins .
