From what I have learned Prophet Muhammad had a feud with the Meccans, and the battle of Uhud was the second battle between the two forces. Earlier in 624 the first battle occurred this was the Battle of Badr. In this battle Muhammad’s forces killed many important Qurashi leaders. The Qurashis wanted revenge and sought to avenge their fallen soldiers at the Battle of Badr. This is what I’ve learned if any expert sees any factual errors with my answer please correct me!
