Answer:

BC = 48cm

Step-by-step explanation:

In the picture it is given that AC = 50cm and

AB = 14cm

we can find BC by applying

Pythagoras theorem which says

 {(hypotenuse)}^{2} = {(sum \: of \: the \: two \: sides)}^{2}

Here, hypotenuse = AC =50cm

The two sides are = AB = 14cm and BC =?

 {AC}^{2}  =  {BC}^{2}  +  {AB}^{2}

by Pythagoras theorem we have ,

 {(50)}^{2}  =  {BC}^{2}  +  {(14)}^{2}

 =  > 2500 =  {BC}^{2}  + 196

 =  > 2500 - 196 =  {BC}^{2}

 =  > 2304 =  {BC}^{2}

 =  > BC =  \sqrt{2304}

 =  > BC = 48cm
