Seven electrons are present in the outermost shell of the atom of an element Y. what would be the nature and value of charge on the ion formed if this electron is removed from the outermost shell?

Answer:

As we know that there should be 8 electron in outermost shell of an atom so it can be stable if there is 7 electron in an atom so it gain one electron and make itself stable and it's charge would be positive
