Money spent by each Friend = 14 Rs.

So Money spent by 7 Friends = 14 * 7

Therefore Money spent by 7 Friend = 98 Rs.

and let Money spent by Eighth Friend be (x) Rs. ---------------------- 1

So, Average of 8 Friends = ( 98 + x ) / 8

and Money spent by Eighth Friend = 21 + [ ( 98 + x ) / 8] ----------- 2

So, From 1 and 2 we can Conclude that :

x = 21 + ( 98 + x ) / 8

so, x = ( 168 + 98 + x ) / 8

Therefore, 8x = 266 + x

8x - x = 266

7x = 266

Therefore, x = 38

So, Money spent by Eighth Friend = 38 Rs.

Answer:136

Step-by-step explanation:instead of giving x to 8th person let me choose x as average of 8 persons together.

7 person ave= 14 , so total- 98

8 person ave= x, so total- 8x

And 8th person’s = 21+x

=> 98+[21+x] = 8x

=> 17=x

=> total sum spent = 17*8 = 136
