Answer:

C = 1   VADODARA

F = 2  - DADAR

D = 3   RATLAM

E = 4   MATHURA

A = 5 - KOTA

B = 6 - MUMBAI

G = 7 - SURAT

Step-by-step explanation:

Seven passengers - A, B, C, D, E, F and G

Classes - 1 to 7

Mathura, Kota, Dadar, Surat, Mumbai, Vadodara and Ratlam

A sits in an odd-numbered class compartment but not in class numbered 3

=> A sits in 1 , 5 or 7

The one who will get down at Mumbai sits immediately in the class above A

=> A sits in  1 or  5

Only two passengers sit between D and the one who has to get down at Mumbai.

The one who will get down at Kota sits in an odd-numbered class above the class of D

=> 3 , 5 or 7 -  get down at Kota

Only three passengers sit between C and the one who has to get down at Kota

C can be Class 7  if  Class 3 get down at Kota or

C can be Class 1  if  Class 5 get down at Kota or

C can be Class 3  if  Class 7 get down at Kota or

The one who has to get down at Dadar sits immediately next class to C

=> C can not be Class 7

E is not to get down at Dadar

E can not be immediataly Next to Class C

The one who will get down at Mathura sits immediately above the one who will get down at Ratlam

G sits in an odd-numbered class

=> 1  , 3 , 5 or 7

Only one passenger sits between B and E

=> Either B & E sits in even classes or odd  classes

A , C & G already Sits in odd Classes

=> B & E will sit in Even Classes

B sits in the compartment class above E

hence B & E will sit in (4 , 2)  or ( 6 , 4)  Classes

Neither C nor A will get down at Surat.

Noe we have two cases C = 1  or 3

Let take case 1  : C = 3

C = 3   Then E ≠ 4  Hence E = 2    => B = 4

=> A = 5 gets Down at Kota   above the Class of D

6 will get down at Mumbai

Only two passengers sit between D and the one who has to get down at Mumbai.

=> D =  3   but C = 3 Hence not possible

Let take case 2  : C = 1

C = 1   Then E ≠ 2  Hence E = 4    => B = 6

=> A = 5 gets Down at Kota   above the Class of D

6 will get down at Mumbai

=> B = 6 = Mumbai

Only two passengers sit between D and the one who has to get down at Mumbai.

=> D =  3

   G = 7

   F = 2

The one who has to get down at Dadar sits immediately next class to C

The one who will get down at Mathura sits immediately above the one who will get down at Ratlam

C = 1   VADODAR

F = 2  - DADAR

D = 3   RATLAM

E = 4   MATHURA

A = 5 - KOTA

B = 6 - MUMBAI

G = 7 - SURAT
