Answer:

Here incorrect statement is

(3) Current flowing through resistor R4 is 1 A

Explanation:

As per the figure we know that R2 and R3 is parallel as we as R5 and R6 is parallel

now we have

R_{23} = R_{56} = \frac{R_5 R_6}{R_5 + R_6}

R_{23} = R_{56} = \frac{R}{2}

Now we have

R_{125} = R_1 + R_{23} + R_{56}

R_{125} = 7 + \frac{7}{2} + \frac{7}{2}

so we have

R_{125} = 14 ohm

now total voltage drop in R1 resistance is given as

V_1 = R_1 i

V_1 = 7(\frac{14}{14} = 7 V

Now total current in R125 is divided equally in R3 and R5

so its current is

i = \frac{1}{2}\frac{V}{R_{125}

i = 0.5 A

Current through resistance R4

i = \frac{V}{R_4}

i = \frac{14}{7} = 2 A

Total resistance of the circuit is given as

\frac{1}{R} = \frac{1}{14} + \frac{1}{7} + \frac{1}{7}

R = \frac{14}{5}

now we have

P = \frac{V^2}{R}

P = \frac{14^2}{14/5} = 70 W
