Answer:

Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water. These negative impacts can affect human behavior and can prompt mass migrations or battles over clean water.

Human activities lead to destruction through overpopulation, overconsumption of natural resources, pollution etc.

  • Humans are responsible for the destruction of the environment as -
  1. One of the main causes has been the rising population. Our current food supply can sustain more people than ever, yet this has the devastating effect of slowing population growth and limiting natural population growth.
  2. Another factor affecting the environment is global warming. The main contributors to rising CO2 levels are respiration and more harmful factors like burning fossil fuels and deforestation.
  3. Water contamination occurs when pollutants contaminate water sources and render the water unfit for multiple uses, this is done by throwing waste in water bodies
  4. Many times people wash clothes in nearby water bodies. Many people in villages bathe their animals like cows in lakes and ponds further destroying the environment.
  5. Deforestation causes soil erosion, decreased oxygen levels, and habitat damage for animals.
  6. Air pollution is defined as an excessive number of contaminants in the atmosphere. Due in large part to the usage of automobiles for transportation, overpopulation has contributed significantly to air pollution.
  7. We are forced to breathe poisonous and polluted air due to harmful manufacturing gas emissions, which can worsen various illnesses, including respiratory and cardiovascular ailments.
