Let the one's place digit be y and tens place digit be x. Therefore, the number should be 10x + y. After reversing the orderof digit, the number will be 10y + x.
It is given that x-y= 3, then y = x-3........ eq (1)
ATQ,
7( 10x + y) = 4(10y + x)
7(10x + x - 3) = 4[10(x-3) + x ] ( using eq (1))
7(11x -3) = 4( 11x -30)
77x - 21 = 44x - 120
33x = -99
x = -3
put this in eq (1)
y = x-3
y= -3-3 = -6
the number is 10x + y = 10× -3+ -6 = -36
