Answer:Let the present age of Tim, Jane and Mary be T, J and M respectively.

From the first and third clues, we have T<J<M

1st clue

⟹T+7=2[4T−(M−J)]

⟹7T=2M−2J+7

2nd clue

⟹M−8=12[3T+(J−T)]

3rd Clue

⟹2T=2M−J−16

⇒J+5=1+(M−T)

⇒T=M−J−4

Solving these three equations, we get

T = 3;

J = 8;

M = 15
