Several characters are responsible for a man’s death in different ways. First, give individual rankings and then discuss with the group to rank the characters on their guiltiness.
Case:
1) Francis – suffers heart attack, but dies after reaching hospital
2) Wife – takes husband to hospital but delays journey
3) Doctor – Refuses to treat patient citing long work hours
4) Hospital Admin – Refuses to admit patient without advance payment
5) Insurance Co agent – refuses to compensate for death due to policy issues
6) Law Makers – made the laws that resulted in flawed insurance policy
7) Citizens – lobby-ed for changing govt policy to cut expenditure

1.First rank can be given to the wife as she delays the journey.She should feel the most guilt because if she speeds up he might have the chance of living.
2.Second rank can be given to the doctor because if he would treat francis he might have a chance of living.He should feel guilty because he did not complete his work and did not do justice to his occupation.
3.Third rank can be given insurance Co agent because the promise they make is not fulfilled when they don´t keep it up.They should feel guilty for not keeping up their promise.
4.The fourth rank can be given to the hospital admin because it is the duty of the hospital to take care of the sick and injured.They must feel guilty for killing the patient just for the advance money.
5.Fifth rank can be given to the law makers for not punishing the wrong doers and backing the wrong doers.They must feel guilty for not punishing them.
6.Sixth or the last rank can be given to Francis because it is not his mistake for suffering a heart attack and he must not feel guilty.
