Hydro power station is advantages in many prospects but the environmental challenges are its only disadvantage. Some disadvantage are as follows :-
1)Building dam over rivers changes
the water flow.
2)The land over which the dam is
built also get damaged and
therefore plantation is not possible.
3)Hydroelectric power lines also
harm the aquatic life in the river.
Therefore building several small hydro power plants can be advantages because a large area does not get affected.
