in humans there are 23 pair of chromosomes in which 1 pair is called sex chromosome.
in females both the chromosomes are X while in male one is X and the other is Y ..
a child gets X chromosome from his mother and gets either X or y chromosome from the father.when it gets X chromosome from father it is a girl and when it gets y chromosome it is a boy
