Yes because it depends on the fertilisation on the chromosomes may be xx or xy it depends on the combination of germ cells produced by humans...which is nothing but genes

in humans there are 23 pair of chromosomes in which 1 pair is called sex chromosome.
in females both the chromosomes are X while in male one is X and the other is Y ..
