yes if Y chromosome enter ova child will be male

if X chromosome enter ova child will be female

mother cannot determine the sex of child as she has both chromosome XX

this is because the chromosomes of the father has both X and Y, whereas the female has only X chromosomes and hence it depends on which chromosome of the father is fused with the female's X chromosome.

if X chromosome fuses with X, it's a girl and if Y chromosomes are fused, it's a boy.
