Asexual reproduction in animals occurs through fission, budding, fragmentation, and parthenogenesis. ... Sexual reproduction starts with the combination of a sperm and an egg in a process called fertilization. This can occur either outside the bodies or inside the female. Answer:

  • Sexual reduplication is the product of a new organism from two parents by making use of their reduplication cells or gametes.
  • In this process, manly gametes fuse with a womanish gamete to form a new cell called ‘ zygote ’. This zygote also grows and develops into a new organism in due course of time. occasionally coitus cells or gametes are also called origin cells.
  • Humans, fish, frogs, tykes etc. all reproduce by the system of sexual reduplication.
  • Sperms or male gametes are produced by a male parent and sperm contains a long tail i.e. flagellum for movement.
  • Ova, eggs or female gametes are produced by female parents which is a bigger cells than the sperm having a lot of cytoplasms.
  • The sperm enters the ovum or egg and fuses together to form a new cell called a zygote ’. This process is known as fertilisation. So, the zygote is fertilized ovum.
  • The zygote also divides again and again to form a large number of cells, and eventually grows and develops to form a new baby.
  • The sexual reduplication promotes the diversity of characters in the seed by furnishing inheritable variation. Sexual reduplication plays an important part in the origin of new species having different characteristics.
