SF6 DOESNT UNDERGO HYDROLYSIS BECAUSE IN SF6 THE SULPHUR ATOM IS SURROUNDED BY 6 FLUORINE ATOMS WHICH IT MAKE IT KINETICALLY INERT AND THE 6 FLUORINE ATOMS PROVIDE GREATER STEARIC HINDRANCE THAN SF4 AND THATS WHY SF6 DOESNT UNDERGO HYDROLYSIS
