▪︎Three cardboards with a hole on it

▪︎Flashlight

▪︎Eraser

Procedure -:

Step 1 = Keep the cardboard stand straight and put the eraser at the end of the hole of cardboard .

Step 2 = Now , switch on the flashlight at the hole of cardboard .

You will observe that the shadow of eraser is forming at the wall .

Now , to prove -:

Let the cardboard not in a straight line . You will observe that the shadow of eraser is now forming .

Conclusion -:

When the cardboard is in the straight line because of the hole the light is passing from it or the light rays are travelling in a straight line .

And when the cardboard are not in a straight line the cardboard block the light .

Hence , it proved that the that the shadow form because of the characteristics of the rectilinear propagation of light rays.
