Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Shaila borrowed some money for 8 years at simple interest the rate of interest is 5.p.c.p.a.

To Find:-

If they returned ₹ 28400 as the interest at the end of 8 years how much she borrowed what was the total amount she returned to bank

Analysis:-

Principal is the money that she borrowed, so it is aking to find the principal, and logically the principal is also not given, so we find the principal, and find the total amount she returned.

Solution:-

Formula used:

P = \frac{I * 100}{R*T}

To Find how much she borrowed from the bank:-

P = \frac{28400*100}{5*8}

P = \frac{2840000}{40}

P = Rs.   71000

Now, to find the total amount she returned to the bank:-

Formula used:

A = P+I

A = 71000 + 28400

A = Rs. 99400

THEREFORE, THE MONEY SHE BORROWED IS Rs.71000 AND THE TOTAL AMOUNT SHE RETURED TO THE BANK IS Rs.99400.
