Given:

Amount invested by Shakeel= Rs. 20000

Time= 3 years or 36 months

Amount invested by Neel= Rs. 30000

Time= 30 months

Total profit received= Rs. 13950

To find:

Shakeel's share in the profit

Solution:

The ratio between their investment and time or the ratio of their profit is:

Shakeel: Neel(S:N) = 20000*36 : 30000*30

So, on simplifying we get=

S:N = 2*36: 3*30

Or, S:N = 4:5

So, Shakeel's share in the profit is:

(4/9)*13950 = Rs. 6200

Therefore, Shakeel gets Rs 6200 as a part of the profit after 3 years.
