Given:

We have given a square with side 28cm. and semicircle and quadrant.

To Find:

The area of the shaded portion?

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Firstly Area of square will be given by the formula

                 Area=side \times side\\Area=14\times 14=196

  • Now Area of semicircle will be given by Radius 7cm.

                Area of semicircle=\frac{\pi r^2}{2} =\frac{22}{2} \times\frac{7}{7} \times7=77cm^2

  • Area of quadrant with radius 14 cm will be given by

               Area= \frac{\pi r^2}{4} =\frac{22}{7} \times\frac{14}{4} \times14\\=11\times14=154cm^2

  • Area of shaded portion will be

                \textrm{Area of shaded portion}=152-77=75cm^2

  • Thus, total area of shaded  portion will be

                 total area=300cm^2

Thus, total area is 300.
