Shalini has to cut circles of diameter 1 one by four from an aluminium strip of 8 3 /4 by 1 one by four how many circles she can cut and also the wastage of the strip

Diameter of Circle =  \frac{5}{4}
Length of strip =  \frac{8 \frac{3}{4}}{ \frac{1}{4} }=\frac{ \frac{35}{4}}{ \frac{1}{4} }=35
Perimeter of circle = 2πr
                              = \frac{ 5\pi }{4}
Number of circles =
  \frac{35}{\frac{ 5\pi }{4}}= \frac{35 *4 }{ 5\pi }= 8.9126768131461388030574907488608  
Number of circles she can cut =8
Wastage = 
35 - 10\pi = 3.584073464102067615373566167205
