Step-by-step explanation:

Given Shalini invested Rs.2000 and started a typing institute. After 2 months Sangita invested Rs.3000 At the end of year they got a profit of Rs.3600. What will be Shalini’s  share of it?

  • Shalini invests Rs 2000
  • Sangeeta invests Rs 3000
  • Shalini’s investment for 12 months will be Rs 24,000
  • Also Sangeeta’s investment for 10 months will be Rs 30,000
  • Now ratio of share will be ratio of investments.
  • So 24,000 : 30,000
  •           = 24 : 30
  •            = 4 : 5
  • So share of Shalini will be 4 / 9 x 3600
  •                                               = Rs 1600
